A man is facing charges for allegedly trying to smuggle exotic animals into Mexico. Sebastian Cruz-Amaya was stopped at the Anzalduas International Bridge in Mission on Wednesday.
Authorities reportedly found over 100 snakes, lizards, frogs and other animals inside Cruz’s vehicle. Cruz did not have the proper permits for exporting animals to another country. He was taken into custody and made his initial appearance in federal court yesterday.
