Omar Ochoa is likely to be Edinburg’s next mayor. Unofficial election returns released last night show Ochoa with nearly 62 percent of the vote in the mayor’s race.
Former Mayor Richard Molina was trailing Ochoa by about 37-hundred votes last night. Daniel Diaz was leading the race for the Place One City Council Seat, while Jason De Leon and Moises Segovia were separated by about 500 votes in the race for the Place Two seat.
