A daycare worker has pleaded guilty to charges related to a child’s death in Brownsville. Thirty-six-year-old Karen Silva entered her plea on a charge of injury to a child causing death on Monday.
Silva and 38-year-old Sendy Ruiz were charged following an investigation into the June 27th death of four-year-old Logina Urbina. Investigators found that the child had been left in a van at the Learning Club Preschool in Brownsville. Silva’s sentencing has been scheduled for November 20th.
