The Supreme Court has allowed the Trump administration to withhold SNAP food benefits a little longer.

Last week, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson issued an administrative stay that temporarily blocked a lower court order requiring the administration to make SNAP payments. Tuesday’s ruling extends that stay through Thursday.

The ruling comes as a bill that would reopen the federal government is set to be voted on in the House today. The bill would provide full funding for SNAP benefits through next September.
