The Bexar County elections office has shot a letter to hundreds of voters, asking them to verify their citizenship. Kris Coons, who heads the Republican Party of Bexar County, says this is all part of the checks-and-balances system that’s in place.
Earlier this year, the Texas Secretary of State’s Office identified more than 27-hundred voters statewide suspected of being ineligible, thanks to a cross-check with a federal citizenship and immigration database.
