Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd in critical condition.
According to the New York Post, the 29-year-old NFL player was shot in the abdomen outside a restaurant in Midtown Manhattan around 2 a.m. Police say they’re looking for a man who fled the scene in a blue BMW.
Boyd signed with the Jets in March but has been on injured reserve. He originally played for the Minnesota Vikings and spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and then the Texans.
