The Texas Department of Public Safety is searching for an escaped sex offender whose last known address was in Weslaco.
Gaspar Loya the Third was convicted of indecency with a child in 1993 and was originally released from prison in 1999. He’s wanted in Texas for failing to re-register as a sex offender and a parole violation. He was arrested in Colorado in 2000, but escaped from custody and has not been recaptured. Loya is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information should contact the Texas Crime Stoppers Hotline.
