A San Juan man is facing charges for an alleged sexual assault on a child. Twenty-nine-year-old Marco Antonio Mejia was arrested near Edinburg on Thanksgiving Day after a male juvenile was found in the front seat of his car.
A Hidalgo County deputy determined that the child had been sexually assaulted and arrested Mejia.
Investigators say Mejia met the child on the Snapchat social media platform. Mejia was jailed on a one-million-dollar bond following his arrest.
