A teen driver has been charged with intoxication manslaughter following a deadly weekend crash in McAllen. Eighteen-year-old Gabriela Nunez Garcia was arraigned Tuesday and was also charged with five counts of intoxication assault.
Garcia was arrested following Saturday’s single-vehicle crash in the 16-hundred block of North Bicentennial Boulevard. Twenty-five-year-old Jacob Rodriguez died in the crash, and five other passengers were hurt. Bond for Garcia was set at 100-thousand dollars.
