The inclusion of Texas in the organization’s 50-million-dollar nationwide effort is an apparent sign that Democrats are still hoping to turn Texas blue, one election at a time. The GOP has held both chambers of the Legislature for more than 20 years, and Democrats haven’t won a statewide election since 1994.
