An accused international child sextortion suspect has a plea hearing scheduled for early 2026. FBI Houston says Ramanan Pathmanathan was extradited to the US from Canada last week.

A federal grand jury indicted Pathmanathan in 2022 on ten counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of coercion and enticement of a minor.

FBI Houston Special Agent Kenya Merritt was one of Pathmanathan’s most determined pursuers. Merritt died of cancer in October of last year.
