The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into a near-collision of two jets taking off from Bush Intercontinental Airport earlier this month.

For reasons unknown, a Volaris Airlines flight to El Salvador reportedly made an unauthorized turn into the path of a United Express flight to Jackson, Mississippi, on December 18th.

Air traffic control directed both planes to take evasive action to avoid a collision. Both flights continued to their destinations. No injuries were reported.
