Woman Accused Of Smuggling $500K Worth Of Cocaine Into U.S.

A Mexican woman is in custody after authorities say she tried to smuggle more than 40 pounds of cocaine through the Gateway International Bridge.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the drugs were found inside the woman’s vehicle when it was referred for a secondary inspection last Thursday. The drugs reportedly have a street value of over 550-thousand-dollars. The investigation is ongoing.
