McAllen ISD Consider Bond Election For School Repairs

The McAllen school district could ask voters to approve a large bond measure to fund school repairs and upgrades.

The district has identified several priorities, including roof repairs at 16 schools and HVAC improvements at nine schools. District leaders say state funding doesn’t cover infrastructure costs, and there is no room in the budget for the needed upgrades.

The school board could consider approving the bond election at its regular meeting on February 10th.
