By Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock has announced the Sheriff Immigration Law Enforcement Grant Program is formally underway.
Hancock says the “program supports sheriffs as they work with immigration authorities to remove criminal offenders, maintain order and keep Texas communities safe.”
Sheriff’s could receive between 80-thousand and 140-thousand dollars depending on the county.
