Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is defending President Trump’s plan to impose tariffs on Denmark and its European allies who don’t support the U.S. taking Greenland.
Appearing on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Bessent argued the tariffs are a matter of national security importance, calling it a geopolitical decision. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Saturday that Democrats would try to block the tariffs.
