By Officials with the Harris County Flood Control District are trying to figure out who dumped headstones in and alongside Brays Bayou. Some of the headstones reportedly have apparent mistakes carved into them, so somebody may have just been discarding wasted materials.
Investigators say dumping the headstones into the bayou is illegal. A company that made headstones reportedly used to be in business near where the stones were found. County investigators are expected to talk to locals and nearby business owners in the days ahead.
