Some parents are unhappy with several school districts that held classes as usual on Monday despite the dangerous cold weather.

The Pleasanton, Poteet, Jourdanton, Charlotte, and La Vernia ISDs were among the few local districts that didn’t call off classes amid the arctic blast. They announced their decisions to stay open by Sunday night on social media or their websites.  Poteet ISD officials say about half of their students stayed home anyway.
