The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming primary elections in Texas is coming up next Monday. Voter registration applications must be submitted 30 days before Election Day, which is March 3rd. Texas has open primaries, so a voter can cast a ballot in either party primary, but not both of them.
Voter registration generally can’t be done online in Texas, but residents can go to the county elections office, or else print an application and mail it to the registrar in the county where they live. The primaries will decide which candidates will appear on the ballot in the November general election.
