A suspect is in custody and accused of the double murder of a married couple in the Katy area earlier this month.
Christopher and Trinette Lopez were shot and killed at their home on Bent Springs Lane on January 12th. US Marshals arrested Norman Lee Johnson on Tuesday in Round Rock on a charge of capital murder. Johnson is the biological father of a girl the victims adopted.
Investigators believe the murders resulted from a custodial dispute. Johnson is in the Williamson County Jail awaiting transfer to Harris County.
