A new report indicates that the two federal immigration agents who shot and killed a man in Minnesota are both from South Texas.

The report from ProPublica claims Border Patrol Agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection Officer Raymundo Gutierrez shot Pretti in Minneapolis last month.

The report indicates Gutierrez began working for CBP in 2014, while Ochoa joined in 2018. Both were part of Operation Metro Surge, an operation that sent dozens of federal law enforcement officers to Minneapolis.

The agents have reportedly been placed on leave, and the Justice Department has announced an investigation into the shooting.
