Students at a number of Houston-area high schools reportedly plan to walk out of classes today to protest ICE actions nationwide.

Most of the walkouts are expected to take place around lunchtime during school hours, with students planning to leave campus. High school students in the districts of Spring, Pearland, Conroe, and Humble are expected to walk out.

District officials say they don’t support demonstrations during classtime or off campus, and student participation may result in unexcused absences and other disciplinary measures.
