San Benito is getting a state grant to help fund improvements to one of its parks. The city announced last week that it will receive a 750-thousand-dollar grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission.

The Non-Urban Outdoor Recreation Grant will help pay for planned upgrades at the San Benito Wetlands. The work will include a restroom, a pavilion, bird blinds and walking trails with culverts.
