There has been talk for years about funding passenger rail in Texas as a way to cut down on traffic jams.
State Representative Terry Canales says the problem can no longer be ignored. He told a rail conference in the Rio Grande Valley that “we cannot pave our way out of population growth.”
The latest census numbers show that around one-thousand people are moving to Texas every day.
