A Border Patrol agent is no longer facing charges after bringing a flash-bang grenade to a South Texas airport. TSA inspectors discovered the device while screening luggage at the McAllen-Miller International Airport on February 1st.
Investigators found the flash-bang belonged to 42-year-old Stephon Mason of Edinburg. He was arrested for suspicion of having a weapon in a prohibited place, but a municipal judge found that the police lacked probable cause to charge Mason with a crime. The Border Patrol declined to comment on the case.
