A new poll says Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton and Democratic US Representative Jasmine Crockett are ahead in their primaries in the race for US Senate.

Paxton and US Representative Wesley Hunt of Houston are challenging incumbent US Senator John Cornyn. Paxton has the support of 38 percent of respondents, Cornyn is at 31 percent, and Hunt has 17 percent.

Crockett leads Austin state Representative James Talarico by 47 percent to 39 percent. Respondents in both parties were 12-percent undecided.
