Police are investigating a shooting that wounded a suspect in an attempted jugging near a southwest Houston gun range. Officers responded on Tuesday to the reported shooting on Rampart near South Gessner.
Investigators say three suspects followed a man who was on his way home from the nearby gun range. Police say the suspects tried to steal a bag of guns from the man, who shot one of the suspects in the chin.
The wounded suspect was hospitalized in unknown condition. The two other suspects ditched their car and ran away.
