FCC Investigates ‘The View’ For Possible Equal-Time Violation Involving Talarico

The TV talk show “The View” is under federal investigation for possibly violating rules concerning interviews with political candidates.

The Federal Communications Commission is looking into whether the ABC program broke equal time rules by airing an interview with Texas State Representative James Talarico last week.

Talarico discussed his race against US Representative Jasmine Crockett in Texas’ Democratic primary for the US Senate. Talk shows were once exempt from equal-time rules, but the FCC ruled last month that the exemption no longer applies.
