Thousands of South Texas residents are filling out their ballots for this year’s Texas primary. Early voting began yesterday.

The Hidalgo County Elections Department says nearly five-thousand Democrats and 11-hundred Republicans have voted so far. Cameron County reported nearly 26-hundred Democrats and 900 Republicans at the polls.

Early voting will continue through February 27th, with Primary Day scheduled for March 3rd.
