A former Hidalgo County detention officer has been arrested for stalking. Twenty-five-year-old Lathan Lee Sanchez of Weslaco was arrested in Edinburg on Friday.
Investigators say Sanchez had been harassing the victim since January. He reportedly resigned from his position as a detention officer before his arrest. He was booked and released on Saturday, with his bond set at 30-thousand dollars.
