A new motorcycle patrol unit is launching in Hidalgo County. Precinct Four Constable J.R. Gaitan and other county officials unveiled the new unit Tuesday.
The unit will have two fully equipped motorcycles, as well as deputies with advanced training. Officials say the new unit will give deputies greater mobility to help them answer calls more quickly and efficiently.
