A Mexican man who the feds called “one of the most prolific facilitators of alien smuggling in the last decade” has started a 30-year prison sentence in Texas.
Pedro Martinez-Jaquez led a transnational criminal organization that snuck more than 500-people across the border. The group used custom-made trailers and big rigs with hidden compartments to transport illegal immigrants through security checkpoints.
