By Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo says rodeo security shoved her and threatened to arrest her in a dispute over seating.
Hidalgo made the claim in a now-deleted Facebook post. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials say Hidalgo had suite tickets to Megan Moroney’s appearance on Tuesday. They say Hidalgo and her group tried to access the chute seats, which were sold out.
Officials say they asked her several times to return to the suite, and when she refused, they asked her to leave. Hidalgo sent a letter to rodeo executives on Wednesday blaming the incident on racism, sexism, and politics.
