Abbott, Trump Critical Of Talarico As US Senate Race Continues

Governor Greg Abbott is piling onto state Representative James Talarico, the winner of the Democratic primary in the US Senate race.

In an online post, Abbott referred to what he called Talarico’s “Bernie Sanders voting record.” President Donald Trump, US Senator Ted Cruz, Republican state lawmakers, and GOP activists have joined in as well.

In the November election, Talarico will face either incumbent US Senator John Cornyn or challenger Ken Paxton, who are in a runoff for the GOP nomination.
