Another day is bringing another jump in has prices as the war in Iran continues to take a toll on global oil markets.
As of this morning, oil prices were hovering just under 100 dollars a barrel. And Triple A reports the national average price for a gallon of regular grade gasoline has jumped to three-dollars and 71 cents from three-47 a week ago.
President Trump is expected to announce an international coalition to escort oil tankers and other commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. The major transport corridor for oil has been effectively closed by Iran since the U.S. and Israel attacked two weeks ago. U.S. officials told the Wall Street Journal that the announcement could come this week.
