A man from Afghanistan, who was arrested by ICE agents in Texas, had died in custody. The feds say in a statement that the death of Mohammad Paktiawal is “under investigation.”
The 41-year old was nabbed Friday while taking his kids to school in the Dallas suburb of Richardson. A check of court records show that his asylum claim is pending. Paktiawal’s family says that he helped the American military in Afghanistan. They were evacuated by the United States after the fall of the country.
