A woman involved in a deadly shooting in McAllen has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. Thirty-three-year-old Carmen Lizeth Valdez was arrested in 2024 after the death of David Martinez.
Investigators accused Valdez of acting as a lookout for Nathan Germain, who was charged with shooting and killing Martinez. Valdez accepted a plea deal, while Germain is scheduled for trial in June
