By Texas attorney general candidate Mayes Middleton has the endorsement of his former opponent Aaron Reitz in the GOP primary runoff.
Middleton is a state senator from Galveston who came in first in the March 3rd primary. He faces US Representative Chip Roy in the May 26th runoff.
Reitz is a former Department of Justice lawyer who finished fourth in the primary. He said his endorsement is based on Middleton’s support for President Donald Trump. Roy has occasionally differed with the administration over fiscal issues.
