Police are investigating after San Antonio firefighters found a body while putting out a small brush fire Saturday morning on the Southeast Side.

Fire crews responded around 7:30 a.m. to the blaze on Rigsby Avenue. As they extinguished the fire, they found a body that had apparently been wrapped in different materials before being set on fire.

Firefighters called the police. It’s not known how the body got to the location. The deceased person is unidentified, and there is no suspect yet.
