Super PACs affiliated with the AI industry are donating millions to the campaigns of Texas candidates for US Congress. Data centers are being built statewide, and most of the AI-affiliated spending in Texas supports candidates who say they want fewer regulations for the industry.
The spending has gone to candidates in both parties, but mostly Republicans. The top AI-related donor in Texas is American Mission, part of Leading the Future, a network that favors lighter regulation. The network raised more than 50 million dollars in 2025.
