By A McAllen man has died after a crash in northern Hidalgo County. The Texas Department of Public Safety says 24-year-old Robert Butkiewicz was traveling south on U.S. 281 around 1 p.m. Monday. His truck reportedly left the highway and struck a concrete barrier, going airborne before landing in a grassy area along the frontage road. Butkiewicz was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
