The City of La Joya is warning residents after an alligator was spotted in the area. A weekend social media post noted that the alligator was seen in places around Palm Shores and The Coves.
The advisory warned people not to feed the animal and to keep pets and children away from those areas. Anyone who sees the alligator should call the La Joya Police Department immediately.
