New court filings are revealing more information on Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby’s sports betting during his time at Indiana.

The NCAA says Sorsby placed at least 29-hundred sports bets totaling more than 30-thousand-dollars with at least 40 of those wagers involving Indiana football. Sorsby was with the Hoosiers from 2022 to 2023 before transferring to Cincinnati and later to Texas Tech.

Officials say they found no evidence Sorsby attempted to manipulate games or used inside information. Sorsby’s attorneys argue his gambling stemmed from diagnosed gambling and anxiety disorders and should be treated as a mental health issue. This comes as the NCAA opposes Sorsby’s request to regain eligibility for the upcoming season.
