By San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones says she would support the cancellation of a concert by Ye at the Alamodome next month.
The Grammy- winning rapper was formerly known as Kanye West, and he has a history of making antisemitic comments and praising Hitler. Earlier this year, he apologized, blaming the behavior on an undiagnosed brain injury.
The mayor said on Saturday that she objects to the use of a city-funded stadium as a concert venue by somebody who makes such comments, especially on the Fourth of July.
