Union Pacific is investigating a collision between one of its trains and a FedEx truck in Hill County on Thursday. The Texas Department of Safety says troopers responded around 2 p.m. to the crash at a railroad crossing near the intersection of State Highway 81 and County Road 4148, north of Itasca.
The driver and a passenger were hospitalized in critical condition. Union Pacific says the train crew wasn’t injured. A firefighter was treated at the scene for a heat-related illness.
