By The two Texas candidates for the U.S. Senate are working to make their case with voters in the state’s southern border region.
Democrat James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton were both in South Texas last week to talk to voters about border security.
Local residents were unhappy with President Joe Biden’s open-borders policy, which helped President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign efforts in the region. But now local voters are nervous about Trump’s deportation program. Talarico and Paxton are both looking for a middle ground.
