By Several families of 9/11 victims have started a petition to have the mayor of New York City banned from the official ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
Organizers accuse Mayor Zohran Mamdani of supporting groups and individuals who have been critical of America and being sympathetic towards radical views.
A spokesperson for City Hall said Mamdani still plans to attend the ceremony to stand with victims.
