Millions of Americans are sweating it out in extreme heat. Another heat dome has settled over the central U.S., driving temperatures up into the triple-digits from Kansas to North Dakota, and from Colorado to Minnesota.
The extreme heat could intensify today with a rise in humidity, when the feels-like temperature in Rapid City could hit 106 degrees, Des Moines could feel like 107 degrees, and St. Louis could feel like a sweltering 109 degrees.
Sweaty conditions could linger into Tuesday, and aren’t expected to cool off until late in the week.
