Tropical Storm Lala is moving westward away from the main Hawaiian islands this morning after leaving behind a trail of destruction. At least one person is dead after Lala blew through.

The latest update from the National Hurricane Center puts the storm just over 300 miles west of Honolulu with maximum sustained winds of roughly 60 miles per hour. This, after torrential rain caused widespread flooding and mudslides on the Big Island of Hawaii.
