The state of Minnesota is suing Texas Governor Greg Abbott over the extradition of an ICE agent. Christian Castro faces multiple charges connected to a January shooting in Minneapolis, including four counts of second-degree assault. He was arrested in Cameron County in May, and a judge ordered him held for extradition.

Abbott has refused to sign the extradition order that would send Castro to Minnesota. Minnesota’s attorney general is also asking for a temporary restraining order to prevent the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office from releasing Castro from jail before he is extradited.
